O2 is a British telecommunication company, founded in 1984 and mainly supplies the United Kingdom. O2 is a property of the Spanish group Telefonica since November 30, 2005. The first Smartphone released by O2, the Xda, is released in 2002, powered by Windows Mobile. Several models from the Xda range followed, until the last release in 2008, the Xda Serra. It is also the latest Smartphone released by O2. The Xda Serra is a Windows Mobile slide design, with a physical QWERTY keyboard. It has a 2.8-inch touch screen for a resolution of 480x640 pixels, 512 MB internal memory expandable via a micro SD card and a 288 MB RAM. It is also equipped with a main camera of 3.15 megapixels, as well as a VGA resolution front camera for video calls. It can access the internet via Wi-Fi or using 2G or 3G networks, and is also equipped with a GPS. O2 has since stopped producing Smartphone and has focused on the development of networks like in 2009 where it has demonstrated mainly the 4G connection using LTE technology. It launches in 2017 the new technologies VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling for users of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus initially, then the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 6 Plus as well as the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, which have been added to the list of devices supporting this new technology.
